That is why we created Aurora in 1978. Our vision was to create a world class consulting and project management organization that would focus on the challenges of the day and the opportunities of tomorrow. We would only accept engagements with the objective of empowering people and communities and the institutions that serve them. We would be principled, client centered, and values oriented. Knowledge and skill transfer done efficiently, effectively, and creatively would be our currency. Lessons learned and best practices—culled from appropriate examples from every corner of the world—would form the basis of helping clients discover appropriate, sustainable, capacity-building solutions.
The new Aurora is continuing this approach and that is why we are pleased to be continuing our service on the Board of Directors. The new Aurora is continuing to utilize engagement teams comprised of sensitive, skilled staff and consultants organized to meet the unique requirements of each client, employing appropriate technologies, techniques, and strategies to define and refine expected outcomes. Through close, continuous consultations with our customers, Aurora introduces paradigm-affirming or reforming results. Aurora's Mission is to offer global perspectives to devise local solutions.
After all, no matter whom the customer may be or where they conduct business—public or private sector—or what results are to be attained, certain things are constant. There is a need to build the client’s organizational efficiency and effectiveness; to rationalize its operations and use of resources; to optimize its comparative advantages and competitiveness in relevant markets; and to position it for sustainable growth and development. These are intrinsic to Aurora’s approach to every engagement.
